Hi Im painting my interior with spray paint. THe whole thing, or like Cyan's. Anyways, Ive done parts chrome, the typical parts, but it looked bad because the texture was rough.

So my question is,

Is there and What pre-paint do I use that can smooth out the surface and make it smooth and not textured?

What brand of spray can I use to put paint it all? How many coats?

Is there and what kind of after-spray coat thingy do I use.

THanks

I got banned for being a constant tard.

i'll let the other guys handle the rest of this one, but i know that in order to get the pieces smooth and not textured, you've got to sand them

if you want a smooth finish you need to use clear coat. the process i did was..

sand with 800 lightly, clean the piece..prime it, sand the primer lightly with 800, clean it..add a few coats of color, making sure each coat is dry before you do the next. once its lookin good with color, start adding clear coat, again, waiting until each coat is dry before you do the next. i did 5-6 coats of clear. anything above that the pieces will start to turn a milky white color. email me if you have any more questions

yeah i have noticed that things ive painted were more smooth when i use the clear coat.. plus it helps to protect the paint too and gives a nice finish..

also i think krylon is a good brand of paint to use.. you can get it at wal-mart i believe..
