I am looking to put in a set of racing seats and if I dod that then I am going to install some harnesses as well. I know I need a harness bar to use the harnesses. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am using the right termenology for this bar or if it is called something else. I don't want a roll cage. I just want to give the interior a little aggressive look. I basically know what I am looking for but I am having a hard time finding someone who is selling one for a reasonalble price. If you know where I can find one that bolts up into the current seat belt restainers then please let me know. I am not looking for a welding job just a bolt up one. Thanks for the help.

well I have that option but I think that will be a bit far back. My intentions were to have one of those mount up to the front seat belts. But I am thinking if I do that, that I am going to have a reclining problem, but I guess then again if those are in there, I will not be able to comfortly sit like I usually do. I am not one of those people who lay the seat all the way and sit up when I drive. I just like to have a descent angle so my arm is almost fully extended. I wonder if the C pillar will work for my application? I think I need more advice/information/research on this.

wouldn't it just be easier to use a 'hump bar' (the brace that goes across the floor board behind the front seats) and anchor some floor mount harnesses to that

That bar will not work as far as I Know. The appropiate bar is suppose to sit at a 20 degree angle down from the seat harness holes. This assures that the belts and seats work like they are suppose to. With out this I think you will break you seats if anything happens. Not sure of the effects with out the bar I just know that it is highly advise to put on it.

I have produced my own. I might make more for the community. Haven't decided yet if its worth the time or money. It mounts to the stock front upper seat belt bolts and uses heim joints on the down supports that mount to the front lower seat belt mounting bolts. Fully adjustable height. Now remember this will make your car into a 2 seater as no one can get in the back seat now, which was fine for me.
I have also produced 3 point heavy duty front and rear strut towers.

i have a set of 3pt retractable Corbeau Harnesses they work great and u dont have to get a bar. i have it rigged to the seat brackets on either side and the retracting mechanism part is anchored to the old rear seat buckles.
