I got my new hood installed today after i finished my paint, and the damn thing will not shut all the way down very easy. i can push down like hell and make it latch but it doesnt even go all the way down, i think its the ECU on the left hand side stoping it ... just wondering if anyone had this problem and what you did to fix it. thanks alot

if its anything like the aerogear predator hood you will have to relocate the ecu,i had it, pain in the ass i just dropped the ecu down a little and it worked, the hump is in the hood for a reason.

The hump in the hood was actually for clearance of the Cam gears and cover on the 1g 4g63. It was carried over to the 2g since it gave the car a distinguished look. The 2g's dont really need the bump it was just brought over for the style.

tell that to all 3 aerogear hoods i had, the ecu pokes up just enough for the hump to be needed, you can get it there without moving it but its a tight squeeze

man i still can not get it to line up straight, it doesnt look to be the ecu, i trimmed the underside of it down some, and now it looks to be the hump on the left hand side, anyone with the trd hood?

I dont mean to hijack this thread but has anyone seen/heard/thought of a one-off hood WITHOUT the hump? (that would be nice)

yeah bro pics would be great .... it could be the coolant tank i think either that, or the hump in the top corner ... i can push it down all the way when i have it shut on the bottom corners, but it doesnt budge at all on the top left corner ... this sucks ass too man, its gapped all up above the headlights, at least an inch, prob more

xgt doesnt delete the hump, if i can get a pic of mine from the side those 2 vents are actually humped up, invader possibly could, but the evo hood also is stepped up in the center just enough to work, and not notice the bubble shape to them

thats the only pic i have left, it shows how the ac line is run under the strut bar rather than around the strut tower, the ecu and coolant tank are back in the original spots but were moved when the other hood was on it.
