#94491, "soft top on spyder is not closing all the way"

I tried putting down the top but there is a hinge that is actually hitting the plastic trim of the back seats. I can move the hinge around, and at one point I got it to where it wouldn't hit the trim and the top went a little lower - but it still wasn't sitting all the way down where the cover could be put on. But after putting the top up, I'm getting the same problem again. the hinge is connected to a bar in the top that connects both sides - and actually its the hinges on both sides that are hitting that plastic

It's not a problem with the motor. The top is pretty complicated when looking at all the hinges - so diagnosing this is giving me a headache. Anyone know of common and correctable problems with the top mechanics?

I don't have my digi cam with me, but I'm going to take pics later so I can point to that hinge.
