How hard is this to do? Is it very expensive? I know the headlights cost quite a bit because they are JDM and all, but how hard is the labor? They look pretty similar in size and shape. Anyone work in a body shop know a ballpark figure?

We would probably charge labor around 800 bucks to do it. Add on the cost of a kit, new fenders, and new hood (if you want to go with all fiberglass parts since it's easier to work with), plus those silvia headlights are about 1000 bucks. SO I would estimate a total of 2000 to 3000 depending on what new parts you have to buy besides the headlights...

I didn't think silvia headlights costed $1,000. I thought they were cheaper. I would not want new fenders, just the lights. I don't wanna try driving a fiberglass car.

The silvia headlights you see people put on eclipses are usually up to 1400 bucks direct from japan. We sell em for 1000 I think...

An all fiberglass car? You'd know what it feels like to dive a corvette then!

looking at that picture make me think that is all u need to modfiy are the fenders
look at the hood and the bumper lines
exact same as the clipse
im sure things in behind might need to be changed but not more
looks like a very easy conversion

no you have ot modify everything the light touches. there is nothing on those lights that is exactly identical to our lights. the hood has to be trimmed and angled more, the fenders, of course, and the bumper has to be extended outwards between teh headlights and reshaped. you dont really understand the complexities, it all has to be exactly perfect.

yes they are pretty close, but they arent exact. if you wanna make an ass of yourself and install silvia lights with a gap between the hood and lights and between the lights a bumper, go ahead, but thats what seperates a good conversion from a bad one. go stick one of the lights up to the car and youll see what i mean. it wont even be close
