Well here is the deal, I see many eclipses with sunroofs up (2g's) and it looks like its all the way up. Mine seem to only go halfway and stops. I've looked if its being stopped by anything but couldnt find anything in particular. Could this be that i have an aftermarket sunroof?. How would I know, and what is the acctual factory sunroof?

Anyone has issues like these? I tried searching, but im getting tired its almost midnight and im sleepy, and i really couldnt find anything, so help me out if u can.

Thanks in advance

easiest way to tell is to feel your headliner if there is no board or very little then it is aftermarket, the factory roof has a board over the entire unit. If it flips open and goes back then nothing is stopping it. A factory roof would get caught up and not go back. If it only tilts up and down then it could be a messed up stocker. The switch and mirror can tell you a lot too. Do you have a dome light? If you do then its aftermarket. If you have map lights on your mirror its a factory sunroof, unless it's been changed. The switch for a factory sunroof should be in the middle of the front inside a plastic surrounding with a removable cover closest to the back. Aftermaket sliders usually only have a small floating button in the headliner.

OK well these are some of the things i kno off top of my head. I dont have any dome lights, on my mirror, there is only a lil knob that change s it back and forth, when u drive during night with someone behind u flashin u with their high beams.
The switch for the sunroof is located right next to the removable rectangular plastic piece, if i remove it, i see the motor thingy that moves the sunroof. I dont know about the board yet but ill check that soon.

EDIT ; Ok well just chcked, it feels like a hard board all across the headliner. I have map lights or w/e u call them, the ones where you open the door and they open, but it can be set with a middle switch to DOOR or OFF or w/e the options are. On the mirror, there arent any lights, and yea umm i was looking though the car's booklet (manual and other papers) and i found a brochure for a Webasto Xss something sunroof spoiler, so I guess its aftermarket,

Any suggestions on how i would get the stock on there? emoji
