got a new daily driver, picked it up for $800 running as it sits. needs some work but for the price what can you expect. Already got a new rear quarter in the process of putting it on, thats all thats holding it up from being painted. the rest of the stock bumpers are on the way, along with a new wing. I'll try to put pics up as I go...

DAY 1:

Got it cleaned up, put on the rear bumper, fixed the interior lights, and brake lights (fuses) Took out all the interior washed it, replaced it.

One week later:
2Gb front bumper, stock headlights, stock fenders, stock rear (waiting on the 98 rear) stock sideskirts are on the way, removed the rear wing, wet sanded the wal-mart primer the previous owner used, buffed out the red, got matching wheels, adjusted it to sit level all the way around. Flat blacked the engine bay, put bolts in all the empy spots, new brakes, new hatch struts...

Damn man, what a deal for 800 dollars. Some people just don't realize what the possibilities are with a little hard work and time. Nice job, can't wait to see how it turns out in the future. What are your plans for it??

Not bad for $800. Some people just get tired of their cars and sell them dirt cheap. I went to pick up a rear bumper of a guy that was selling it locally and he told me that he got rid of his 95 GSX two weeks ago for only $500 after crashing it. He said all the car needed was a new bumper, fender and tranny. Had I spoken to him two weeks ago I would have had a GSX sitting in my yard right now.

Yeah, I know. And I made that comment in regards to the experience that I just had a few days ago which I wrote about right afterwards. Guy sold his GSX dirt cheap after putting thousands into it.

Looks good man. I like how the assclown before put primer right over the old paint and you just wetsanded it off and the paint underneath isn't half bad.

When is the fresh paint goin on?

You should leave it like that, can't get more original than each body panel being a different color. LOL. Looks like its coming along good

800 for the car
20 for the fenders
125 for the front
300 for the back and sides
80 for the wing
70 for the headlights

and i think thats about it... oh and $250 for a 1/4 section of a car, that i'll be using for the rear quarter where mine is crushed. Got it cut from the passenger seat to the middle and back.

AND I still have a body kit, and fenders to sell that I can make some money back on, already sold the projectors. Also trying to get rid of the black and red/maroon seats that are in it.

Here's the quarter section if anyone is interested in any parts off it let me know

Some 2g owners should be shot. I guess the previous owner just thought they slap parts on and see where it takes them.

Did you paint it before replacing the quarter? I can see the fucked up area above the tailight on the passenger side even though it looks like you avoided pictures of that area.

Wow. Good job man, you've rescued that car from a bad life. Last summer a guy I knew crashed his 95 gs-t and offered to give me the entire car for 100 bucks.( Because I had already bought about 400 bucks worth of parts from him) My mom wouldn't let me accept it because my dad already had an old datsun Z sitting in the garage and she didn't want something sitting in the driveway until I finished college and could fix the front end (It only needed headlights, right fender, hood, radiator, and radiator support)The car had a coupel of grand in mods, including an evo III transmission. I really regret not taking the car now that I've seen the job you've done on your own. The car ended up going to a junk yard, but I ended taking off the tokico suspension first(had less than a 1000 miles on it)
