I got several plastic parts that were spray painted & would like to restore the to there original state, w/o damaging the plastic. Went over to a local hardware store and looked up paint removers. They recomend to use "mineral spirit" paint remover. (Sounds like I'm gonna remove some ghosts or something... just kidding!!!) Turns out, that it seems to be some kind of thinner, and I think that plactic & thinner, is not a good idea.
I found products like Goof Off (not very strong to disolve spray paint). Graffiti removal spray (only good for concrete surfaces... not good por plastics).
Has anybody had this problem? Any ideas on how to remove the spray paint?

I might be able help you out with this. The company i work for manufactures a really, really strong cleaning product, that if used wrong will take the paint off of walls, and the finish off of some woods. I'm gonna try it out on my interior panels that the guy who owned my car before me painted and if it works I'll hook you up with some, like just pay shipping. I think im gonna try to try it out this week if its nice enough out, and I'll let you know. PM me so I can remember your user name.
