#91871, "Painted Valve Cover Before and After"

I know this somewhat belongs in the 4g63 section but I thought I'd put it here because it can be done to the 420a valve cover all the same. I would encourage anyone to do it if you know how to operate a rattlecan. Followed this DIY on tuners:

That looks really great man, very nice work.

I need to paint my valve cover, but I want to get a second valve cover so I have no down time.

i really like that color, if i paint mine i think it will be similar to that, but like ^^^ said, i want to buy another valve cover so i have no down time. Then I can paint my other one and sell it. How tedious was it tape around all of the letters?

Looks good. I should have done that instead of paying $50 for a powder coat job that was kinda crappy anyway. I'll probably do that anyway.

Just use masking tape and an exacto knife, it was a breeze. The whole thing was amazingly easy, I could almost train a monkey to do it.

Looks great man, you can tell you have patience. That is what it really takes to get it done right. I know people that rush the coats and don't allow proper drying time.

Again you did a great job! Looks amazing!
