#91021, "Aftermarket Seats for 95 talon"

Had an idea that i would like to add some slick racing seats for my already tricked talon.

Looked on ebay, and wow, i need some back ground info. before i dive into this project.

A pair of Ralli Art black racing seats caught my eye on ebay, good price, great loookin, nice design.

I looked into the detail, and it doesnt tell me if these were direct bolt ups to the stock seat mounts, and then i read further and i saw pro. installation reccomended...

I figure seats shouldnt be that big of a deal to install, but apparently I am wrong?

Wanted to check around on here to see if anyone has installed a pair or racing seats, and how they match up to the stock seat mounts, or if they dont, and where I could find seat mounts for racing seats?

any help is much appreciated!

Who are you and where are the pics of this tricked out Talon?

Anywho, the Ralliart seats are good, but I don't know why you're getting them for a Talon. Ralliart stuff is for Mitsubishi rally cars.

Some really nice seats that would last would be either Sparco or Corbeau, whereas if you're looking at a short-term investment the Tenzo seats would suffice too.

Yea those Ralliart seats that are like $200 for the pair are cheap knock offs with the Ralliart emblem on them, you really don't want to skimp on something like seats that could possibly injure you if god forbid you get in an accident. I've heard really good things about Corbeau, Sparco, Recaro, and Bride but of course the price goes up, and I've read some bad reviews of the APC seats on here. If you purchase seats off eBay you want to make sure they come with sliders, and brackets made specifically for a 2G, otherwise you'll end up purchasing them seperately or fabricating/having them fabricated for you. If the auction doesn't mention those things don't assume they are included. Maybe look into having your factory seats recovered if the budget is tight, I believe that's what Aggression has and they look really nice, some searching would turn up some pix I'm sure.

Agreed, those are all great companies. I have a pair of Netami Racing Seats and they are amazing seats as well. If Netami wasn't a major sponsor of the car, I would def. go Recaro. But that is just my preference. I installed my seats myself, it is not hard as long as you have the brackets (made for the seat and year/make/model of car). Sliders are a GREAT thing to have, but not neccesary, you seat just wont scoot back without them. Good luck bro.

I lub Netami. Too bad they don't make it in regular black though.

I am looking to get a set of racing seats that won't make me sit so damn high. Last pair I had I had to stick my head out the sunroof just to drive my damn car. The stock seats sit me about where I need to be, but lower then stock would be even better since I have to slouch a bit while I drive to my head isn't so damn close to the roof. I am only 5 eleven too...so I am not really all that tall...just average.

Yeah, my buddy has those Netami seats in red and black and thye look sexy in his red and black 350z. I have the carbon fiber shell seats. Unfortunatly, my seats dont recline. Being 6'4" it doesnt make it easy, so I only keep them in the car for car shows. GREAT seats though, they look damn good in the car and the carbon fiber shell is flawless.

The brackets I have for the seats are by Wedge Engineering. They have 3 different mount points where you can mount the seats, where you mount depends on how high the seat sits up.

1- you can either go with a deep bucket seat (what stock seats are)
or
2- Check your brackets and see if your brackets have a low mount point.

Have you ever considered getting your stock seats rewrapped to fit a look your going for. Maybe a cheaper alternative. I have my stock seats rewrapped in silver and black leather. That way the car looks sexy regardless of which seats I have in the car.

Just an option.

I have my stockies wrapped as well...but I want the seat to hold me in snug so when I take corners I don't lean. I like that comfy snug where the sides of the back and the sides of the actual seat part hold you in place.

The stockies you just slide around in, in turns. I had racing seats before and its a night and day difference. Got rid of them due to them sitting me to high.
