working for a machine shop defineatly has it's advantages....so does having a future brother-in-law as a CNC machinest. It took an hour or so in CAD to get it right so it looked good and still be machined, and a couple of hours to set it up, machine, debur and clean up. It turned out fantanstic IMO. Looks much better in person than in these pics. Now all I have to decide is if I want to polish it or poweder coat it. I have some free powder coating coming my way...so I think I'll have it powder coated and if I don't like it I can just sand blast it back off in no time emoji

whatcha think?

That looks great, and very original I might add. Great job! What color you gonna get it powdercoated? Post pics of the final product.
Again great job.

i like the sunken effect, but the 2.4 dosent stand out quite as much. maybe try filling it in with a color...that would be hot. would deff draw more attention to it.

id also suggest polishing the lettering

but again, all just my .02, looks hot man!

looks pretty nice. If it were me tho, i would leave the 2.0, so that when i go dyno it, i see everyone's jaw drop when they see all that torque coming out of a 2.0 emoji

That's a cool Idea.

I'm thinking of just going standard black...maybe gun metal. Hopfully the guy doing the powder coating can avoid getting it into the lettering some how. It isn't all that deep. It's only .025" deep leaving about .100" of thinkness, So I'm afraid tat the powder coat will fill up the lettering and that would be a bitch to clean out.

Thanx for the comments guys!

Yah if you painted it silver the 2.4 would look great in black or red to make it stand out.

FFWD Connection has a powder coat color that they call "batman black" that looks pretty good, not quite as glossy like the stock black. It looks damn good imo. You should see if your powder coating guy has some type of flat black that would match it pretty closely. Here's a link with a picture of one done.Just scroll down to where it says stroke, stroke, and more stroke.

That would look bad ass.

I would polish the letters you machined, then tape them off, powdercoat, Then sand off and polish the raised letters.
