when my friend crashed his civic he ordered from the parts train. The pieces fit well for the civic (front bumper, and radiator support). You might want to check them out http://www.partstrain.com/products/1997~MITSUBISHI~ECLIPSE.htm

that place is a little on the expensive side. 120 bucks for one headlight? i would say go with ebay. you can get an oem front bumper off of there for 105 shipped. oh, welcome to the fucked up dsm club; my front end is also in terrible shape for now.

I was pulling in to the parking spot, my going 5 mph and lack of sleep, plus not really paying attention equals me hitting the post!

Simple as that and no one to blame but myself.

you could fix that with a heat gun, a dent puller and some bondo.

Well, yeah... To put it in perspective (ie. earthquakes in Pakistan, Katrina) it really is not that big of a deal.

Oh well. emoji

Its just my car is soo clean ya know. But I'm gonna fix it soon.

I just need to swap driver's side lenses. I'm gonna get a quote tomorrow for the bumper and the fender at a good body shop that can return everything like it was. My front bumper needs fixing anyways since the paint is starting to have spider cracks on it. I might even buy a new bumper cause mine has snagged sooo many parking bumps that is is sagging a bit.

Just three questions though.

1. If I buy a new fender and bumper that's primers already, how much will it take to paint at a good shop?

2. If I take the damage fender and bumper to a good shop, how much to restore it to perfection?

3.ok nevermind, just two question.

will do. and believe me, i understand wholeheartedly that you needed to vent because i have done it quite a bit with my eclipse. here are two teaser pics. the first one is the damage that was done less than an hour after my car was dropped. the other is one that was taken a month later.

hint.....look at the door.

ps---the bumper was fixed, somewhat, until recently.

I know this place here in San Diego that sells front bumpers for 45$ no shipping though. Headlights are expensive, cheapest I can get is $115 brand new.

Damage is minimal IMO...take it from the king of dents. My car has been hit/backed into 6 times since I got it in 01...none of which my fault.

A good paint/body shop can fix that so easy, you would never be able to tell.

Think about this, your gonna pay all the money for bumper, headlights, and fender...plus installation(maybe since you love perfection) plus a lot of paint, thats an insane amount of money no matter what.

If only we had full dumbass coverage, problems like this would not ruin our days. Dumbass protection for ourselves and others...haha

Really!?!? Yeah, I'm just shopping around my options and really wish it was Wednesday so I can go around bodyshops and see what type of work they do and how much. Hopefully I will get an okay deal and everything is restored back to normal. As for the headlights, I thought I might have to buy projectors (which I really don't want to), but I found someone I think someone I can swap lenses with for minimal expense.

hey man, just thought I'd let ya know, that that fender DEF. looks repairable, headlight prolly need replaced, bumper MAY need to be replaced. Before I would start buying stuff, I would take it somewhere to get a free estimate. If you do have to buy stuff, call around at local junk yards, you may be able to find the stuff you need there in good condition for real cheap.

You also have a pretty common color among 2G's. So I'd really check the junkyards first. Or take a stab with a green marker and see what you come up with. Don't use a highlighter though, I think it'd be too bright.
