Okay so I drop close to 60 dollars for 3 gauge a-pillar for my greddy 60mm gauges, then I decided that my car needs to look more professional since I am in my 20s and avoiding the racer look for my future job endeavors. So I boought 2 greddy pod stands, for 30 total and moved it to the center steering column so it was less conspicuous. I also drilled through my cigarrette lighter and moved one 60mm gauge there, and my wideband to the right of the 60mm gauge, of which I had to dremel out a small portion of my shifter so that the wideband gauge wouldn't hit it. Now, I really need to move the wideband closer to my the top area where I can see it better, and I am now contemplating whether or not I should move the gauges either to the tripple a-pillar since I still have it. Of course that would leave me to buying another center console.

Anyway, I just can't make up my mind. The thing is, I am going in to social work field after college (graduating in 2.5 months) and while I live in a nice area right now, small college town, I will be moving into badder neighborhoods to work in. Of course now, I'd like to be more stealthy and need to not have the a-pillar gauges again. I do however still need to move the wideband closer to the eye level and so I need to buy another gauge stand for it, plus another gauge just to cover the monstrous hole infront for the shifter area.

New Car:

Boostin since Aug 03.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

sorry dude, but if you're trying to be less noticed, you are in the wrong car. Any eclipse that has the turbo wing, 97-99 look, dropped on rims, and nicely cleaned up will get noticed anywhere, and as you already know, you're car is definitely a "looker". You're guage replacements won't help ya much. goodluck in that neighborhood.

There is a solution. Just never wash your car, put some steelies on, and put the wing on the front as a battering ram. Maybe that'll work.

In my honest opinion dude, start saving some money. You graduate soon so you will be in the situation of making better money to buy a new car. Keep your car though, I plan to keep mine since I have put alot of work into it. But later down the road I will most likely buy another whip and keep the Eclipse as a project car. I think it is in you best interest to goto Acura, GM or some other dealerships and you can be eligiable for a first time buyers program or Acura offers a College Grad Program, I know this because I was looking into a TSX. But I would look into a second car if it is very important to have a professional looking vehicle. I have thought about this numerous times of getting some kind of car that stays below the radar

I'm planning to go back to grad school so now new car emoji emoji Both good and bad I guess. And GM are you CRAZY!!!

LOl YEAh I think it may be a lost cause. I do however don't wash my car so it's dirty most of the time since I always wash it when only when I come home...

Anyway, the question is then, should I go back to the a-pillar setup?

Edit: I was LOL at bumpintalon's battering ram comment emoji

If not looking for a new vehicle for professionalism, then buy a beater just to drive to work. If you are really worried about your car in that neighborhood, even an alarm isn't going to save you damage, someone will throw a brick through your window.

Try to save like 1-2K and buy an old civic or camry or something like that. Good luck.
