#89471, "What headlights should I get ?"

I need new headlights cause the friend backed into mine in his driveway. Does anyone have any preferances ? I like the idea of a blue halo. Where should I look and who sells besides ebay ?

wow everyone seems to have bad experiences with their projectors, i think i can see better w/my ebay projectors than i ever could with the stockers... of course they may be angled slightly higher than the stock ones cause i had a little trouble getting them level

its hard to find stock headlights; at least both in good condition. i always either find only one or both but only in halfway decent condition.

I bought my car w/ halo-less projectors, which I've seldom seen. I don't have much to compare them too, but so long as you get some good bulbs in them, you can see fine, and the brights are nice and bright IMO. Plus they look tits. emoji

It seems like finding a good condition stock headlight for cheap is impossible. So most people dont like projectors ? If I get ebay projectors does it matter which ones I get ? because the price can vary by $100. Anyone have any pics of aftermarket installed ?

Get ebay halo projectors... that's what I did, and I can see just fine with them! emoji I am doing a H.I.D. retro because I like the looks and all though...

I'm not sure if it matters what ones you get, but these are the same kind I got (looks like the exact same style...) Except mine were for 2Ga...

I've got the Sonar halo projectors, they look very nice but you'll have to cut the harness out of your old headlights to plug them in and the LEDs will definately burn out very quickly. The low beam pattern is kind of scattered and looking at the pic posted by Max-Eclipse I don't think they're as well made as the Matrix units.

buy stock 97-99 headlights and then do a retro-fit on them. You will not be disappointed. Everyone and I mean alomst everyone who buys ebay projectors will turn around and sell them after a year. And I know this because I did this also and I even had an HID kit on my projectors. Now I own stock 97-99 headlights with my 350z projectors retro fitted in them. Let me tell you that there is no subsitute for oem projectors and hid lighting system. And they are really fun to build too, or at least I think so just because thats how I am I like to be creative. Try it out you wont be disappointed, and use some TSX or Valeo projectors if you do the job, they are the hottest projectors to use at the moment, or a bi-xenon setup meaning you get HID high beams too by using a TL or E55 projector. Goto hidplanet.com and read up. I kno this is alot of information but if you follow what im saying you'll deffintley thank me later.

Right being what?

I loved my projectors... they are sold now because I'm doing 2Gb conversion so I have to order the 2Gb projectors. I'm going back with the same kind I had which is what I posted above. The light output was as good or better than stock headlights, and they look a lot better during the day and at night. emoji

If that's the case, everyone here should return their engine to stock, and their suspension, and all of that, because it's "the right way"

Projectors are good. I had them and they worked better than stockers, and looked 5x as good imo.

2gb stockers are the best way because of light output and beam pattern. Those projectors are shit. I had every kind of projector made for the eclipse and none of them matched the quality of light output that the 2gb's had. The only way to get the light output to be better in those projectors is to put a HID kit in there and then the light scatters all over the place and blinds the shit out of everyone unless you modify the housings.
