Well, after much debate in my head whether to leave the lip polished or paint it, i decided to paint the entire rim. Let me know what you think, I'm still not sure if I'm gonna keep them like this, but they don't look half bad.

Sorry for the crummy looking pics (camera phone) but hey, whattaya gonna do emoji ::

Yay or Nay?

yea, i cleaned them up real good, making sure it had no grease or brake dust, then i sanded them down very good, and then wiped them down with rubbing alcohol, and then finally painted them with 4 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear.

you may want to wait a week while new paint cures before repainting, otherwise it will wrinkle the finish and you don't want that.

well, im gonna go against the crowd here. i like it. i personally have a strong distaste for black rims...esp on dark cars. IMO if you buy new rims or you paint them...your obviously wanting people to look at them. when their black it all just honestly runs into the tires. i do however like a darker TONED (not black) rim with a dark car. it flows with the feel yet still allows you to make out details. and to be honest....everyone and their dog has black rims now.

disclaimer: i am in no way trying to step on any toes...just merely stating my opinions.

I also suggest getting your car tinted to match your darker rims. Totally sets it off.

I think it looks really nice dude, but do us all one huge favor. Get a real digital camera. I bet your car looks really bad ass in person and your camera phone pictures really rob its soul. So please get us some nice pictures.
