#88948, "Poll question: To be painted or not to be"

Ok, i'm prepping my GSX rims right now to be painted in duplicolor graphite (gunmetal) and I've seen where people have masked off the lip, but I'm wondering if I should just paint the entire rim, since my car is monarch green pearl. I really don't know what to decide since i've never seen the GSX rim fully painted. I really don't want to paint them with a masked off lip, and then check to see if I like it or not and then having to repaint. I would like to do it just once, since i'm lazy. So what do you guys think??

Paint the tires too. I don't think I have seen anyone do that. It would be original and way cool.

It would make your wheels look bigger.

Don't be lazy, it would take you roughly 2 3/4 seconds to remask the tire off. I, personally, would like the lip unpainted.

I think he was being sarcastic. ^^^

But, it's up to you. Everyone and their mom has painted rims with a polished lip, and there's a reason for it. It looks good.

However, Eclipse804 pulled off an entire wheel color change in gunmetal that looked awesome also.

i decided on painting the entire rim. So far the paint is coming off looking real nice and clean, but the final test is when i mount them. i guess if i don't end up liking it, i can just rub off the paint on the lip

I use to like the polished unpainted lip, but anymore I like the whole rim to be one color.

But it all comes down to what you think looks good!
