#88828, "17's or 18's?"

So I'm looking into getting these wheels called ADR - Battle, they're gunmetal w/ a polished lip. There's pics of them here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-WHEELS-RIMS-G35-350Z-300ZX-RX7-RX8-MR2-ECLIPSE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43958QQitemZ7997770863QQrdZ1

The 18's are 18 x 8.5. Is that way too wide to be putting on an eclipse? The 17's are 17 x 7, which should be fine, but I would really like to get 18's. Also, just so I can start pricing tires, which size tire's should I go with for either 17's or 18's? I'm new to the rim business, and could really use your input. Thanks!

-Chris

Well from your sig pic there, I can see your not lowered any. So either rim will do fine. If you plan on lowering, don't go past an inch or so with those 18's. 18x8's have been known to rub when lowered excessively. As far as tires go, 235/40/18 or 235/35/18 for the 18's and 215/40/17 for the 17's. Hope that helps some.

Congratulations, that picture is my new wallpaper. I can't put into words how much I like your car, so for what it's worth "nice car".

After seeing that picture I'm DEFINATELY getting the 18's. What tires are you currently running? Thanks!
