So I took off the old 3 piece wing, and bondo'd all my holes. Got the turbo wing and all painted but not installed yet. I primered the back of the car with dupli-color red primer, then I sanded it a bit to smoothen it out and hit it up with some milano red paint from dupli-color because it is what closest matched my paint. Painted the car.. and Yuk! its still nasty, in the areas on the panel where I did not primer it matchs alright but still nasty. So I figured I'd clear coat it even though it said I didnt have to and its still fucking nasty. Do I have any shot in giving this luster and shine by wet sanding the clear coat. Because the red is so flat you cant see any reflection in it. Someone please guide me on how to do this.

If you Can spray paint, you can use a paint gun, Just buy a pint of red and all the stuff to do it right. Spray paint will not hold up very long, Even though Duplicolor says it will.

Yea just get a pint of it and use a spray gun. Should be 20 to 35 bucks at CarQuest.
Is this a temporary fix or permanent job btw?

Ok, So I am thinking I may just take this to Macco or something and have them spray the back. The body work I did in my opinion is pretty damn good for a first try. I used metal mesh and just flat pieces of metal and jb welded it under all the holes that way the bondo is'nt going to fall out or fall through. I have it all sanded smooth and it is completely level'd with the body and smooth to the touch. It's just the dupli-color looks like shit and the hole back end of my car is fucked. Maybe I will get it painted by Macco or just park it and throw a cover on it until I get back from military leave in January and have the whole car painted by a proffesional painter.. Well see though. I still need to drill the holes for the wing but the spot where I want to mount it looks hard to get screws in underneath, I may have to cut some metal out from the deck lid on the underside.

Update: So I am over my girlfriends house and we are watching tv when her dad gets in the first thing he says to me is. Yo dumbass, may I ask you what was going through your mind when you destroyed your car. Mind you guys this is a body shop guy who has been doing it for 20 years. I show him what I did and he said I actually did a pretty decent job with the body work just needed to be fine sanded a little more. Anyway, he told me he would paint the car for me if I buy the paint for it or he will teach me how to do it. Very cool, Very excited. So it looks like sometime next week my baby will be getting repainted. Just the back and the side skirts are getting painted. I may re-paint the front bumper too. I'm very excited considering I was thinking about paying $800 months ago to do get this done.
Note: For all you guys thinking about this. Never once had I saw mentioned for the alignment of the turbo wing, but there are pre-mounted spots under the deck lid, I lined the wing up with those spots from the underside and I can see exactly where it has to be drilled to be mounted in OEM position.
