#87827, "supra lights. keep em or lose em?"

as u can see from my pic i did the supra light conversion. but i dunno . i cant seem to get them to look perfect around the edges and also my trunk sticks out 2" farther than the lights do since the way i did it. it doesnt look too bad but i dunno . ive been debating on tearing it all apart and puttin stock back. anyone else think stock look better or should i leave it.

i would say go back, but considering the work you probably put into the coversion, i'd say it would be a waste of money to convert back. But if money isn't an issue, yea, go back to stock.

I think you should have just kept the stock lights to begin with. But the supra lights don't look so bad on your car. I think that what makes your car's rear look wierd are those holes towards the bottom of your bumper and the wing. You should cover those holes up and put a turbo wing on your car instead. I think it will make the rear of your car look a whole lot better.

I kind of figured that was the purpose of those holes but it makes your car's rear look wierd. All those holes make me wanna play connect-the-dots. But if your seriously into racing and want to reduce drag I guess you have to keep the holes. You might as well finish your supra lights project and change to a turbo wing like I suggested before. I think it will look a whole lot better. Check to see if someone can do it on photoshop for you.

because you have done so much work, I would leave them - paint the car, get rid of the holes on the rear bumper, and get a nice wing.

Drag? You aren't trying to consistently run superfast times around a track, those holes aren't going to make that much of a difference imo.

I definitely think you should keep them. I personally would never do that to my car, however its already done and your the only one on here (that i know of) that has them.... that right there is a reason to keep them.

Depending on how much the holes reduce the drag, im not sure if the drag reduction is worth the retardedness of the aesthetics. Fill the holes, loose the spoiler and put a turbo spoiler or one of the supra spoilers that wings west has and that car would be PIMP.

I say, dont be discouraged and finish what you started... i dont see how you can be disapointed with the out come personally. i think it would be sweet.

I would lose the holes and make a diffuser. An undercar tray will help with the aerodynamics far more than holes. There is no laminar airflow through a hole, and when it comes to calculating the coeffecient of drag, holes don't count.

In other words, the holes count as part of the frontal area, just because the air has no good reason to pass through the holes in anything but a turbulant fashion. In fact, you would probably be better off with the high-pressure area in front of the back bumper to deflect the airflow down and under.

i dont want to go that far as to make a tray and all . but instead of all that air just being stuck in the bumper at least it has a place to go at high speed.

I got my turbo wing two months ago from ebay for $100. The seller was someone I had bought from before so he ended the auction early for me. Check around you will be able to find one for a good price.

Its ashame how much money you guys waste on doing the outside of your car incorrectly just to turn around and change it back to stock.. All stock body with turbo wing and great paint job is superior than all.. Leave the crappy kits and light conversions to the hondas

what do u mean its ashame.. i dont waste money . i do every single thing to my car my self. and there is no " correct" way to do a CUSTOM job .i may keep it after all and just finish it i dunno. it aint like its all messed up or something. it just needs finishing touches. and unless u get an OEM turbo wing they rarely fit perfectly anyway.
