Hi guys,
It's been a while since I've visited this site. I would like it known that I've been searching for a couple hours and all I find are bumper inserts and not the actual bumpers themselves. Anyway, my girlfriend has a '98 Talon ESi, automatic. Today she ripped her front bumper on the bottom toward to passenger side. I was curious if anyone out there has some experience with repairing a bumper and what it may cost. Or, would it be cheaper to buy a new bumper? I don't want a bodykit, so please don't suggest that. I've seen a couple bumpers for the 95-96 Eclipse on Ebay, will a 95-96 Eclipse or Talon front bumper fit on a 98 or will there be fitment issues (I know there was some cosmetic changes from the 97 and on DSMs)? She plans on selling the car in the near future, but we don't want to spend too much trying to fix this bumper issue. So please, if you could offer any assitance as to what you think should be done. Thank you in advance.

repairing the bottom of a urethane bumper is not fun. when it flex's its just gonna crack again more than likely unless yuo get some super flex filler for it or something man.

You say to use a filler, but she plain ripped right through the thing. It was cut in half. There's no adhesive or anything that I can buy from Summit Racing or something that will "glue" it back together? If not, where's a good place to look for OEM bumpers besides a junk yard?

Yea the 95-96 Eclipse bumpers will fit since all Eagles use the 2GA headlights. You can look on www.ebay.com , www.dsmtuners.com , www.dsmtrader.com, or your local junkyard.

Just go to autozone or advanced auto and get a urethane repair kit, it cost like 15 bucks and is very flexible, and not that hard to work with. If you got any questions, just hit me up and I got you.

If she F'd up a Urethane one that bad, Then DO NOT put a Fiberglass one on her car. And your best bet to find one cheaper is in our Sale/Wanted section.
