ive seen a few eclipses with a 1 3/4 inch reciever hitch. was that specifically made for the car or did people have them "custom" welded to the "frame". I just want it for a bike carrier, since I have the turbo wing.

if i remember correctly- i think that was an option from mitsu for the bike holder, because i remember seeing that in an accessory catalog. If not, then u-haul can prob install a hitch-type system for your bike rack

Thule makes a rack. I had one on my old Civic and loved it. It's actually the same kit that fits on a Civic, just with different feet. I wish I knew that before I sold mine. It'd be a lot easier than throwing the bikes in the hatch (plus a little cleaner).
