Had my 22nd birthday and my gf got me a Fidanza short throw shifter, (good quality imo) and a buddy of mine got me a GReddy Counterweight shift knob (was off his car (honda) and i had to drill and retap to get it to thread right)

heres some pics (if they work right)

Excuse the mess that is my car, im working on replacing/painting the interior pieces to be black instead of tan

I can see the Fusion-ness in your door panels. Unfortunately, it will scratch off later.

The short shifter and knob looks good though.

Yep, sad thing is I spent an unmentionable amount of money on some Fusion. The stuff sucks. I'll never use Krylon again.

Fuck Fusion! I am going to make a write-up on using the Testors Model paint. Everyone that I have talked to about it and has tried it says they loved the results and it turned out really great. I know with my car you cant even tell the panels were painted. It looks stock flush matching color. And I scrutinize on looks.

Whoa wait a shnizzle. It looks like you used Fusion all over the door. The top part can be had with some SEM dye or G2 stuff. The bottom part that's plastic works best with Testors.

Dangit.

...

I'm getting old.

But, back on track. Does the GReddy knob thread on "well" and is it too heavy to shift? I was thinking about getting one.

its a perfect weight, it kind of helps itself out

as for threading on well,

like i said above, it came from a honda so i had to drill and retap the knob, but they make three thread patterns for it, a honda, mitsubishi, and something else,

just make sure you get the right one,

im surprised by the difference but i got a short throw and a knob in one shot, together they work great but apart i dunno
