With this seeiming to be a hot topic, why not make a Sticky with the best brands to use for what parts of the car?

In addition, to those who have painted the vinyl door skins of a GS or GST/X, what paint have you used and how well has it worked? I don't mean the palstic ones, I mean the vinyl covered ones with the power options. I have a spare set that are grey that I want to paint black. Unless someone has a Black set they want to trade.

I agree, I think alot of stuff needs to be cleaned up in the forums and all the decent posts need to be sticky'd. Seems like all the good shit that should be known is always sticky'd at tuners but we never do it here. Which is why I believe GSGoinFast posted his there just the fact that its easier and more organized. If a moderator reads this you think maybe we can add a detailing section to the forums? With summer coming up and everything, I believe it would get used alot and would be very useful to those who are asking questions on how to clean their cars up and prepare for car shows.. This is just my opinion. I would be very happy to contribute to help out in that section if its made, I know quite a bit and could help put it in the rite direction

We all have different opinions on what works well though, I can see the list now 80 different brands lol. Its a good idea though. You know what worked kick ass for me on high traffic parts? Header paint. I have not one nick, scratch or peel mark and its been almost two years.

I'm re-painting the door skins from some glossy black to a satin black this weekend. I'll take some pictures of how it turns out. I'll be using SEM Satin Black as the paint color.

IS this on the vinyl doors or the hard plastic ones like the RS?

some RS' did come with padded inserts, and mine has roll up with padding.

but anyway, ive revovered the vinyl on my inserts twice. I did it 1st with grey fake leather/vinyl. second time i did it with black neoprene which turned out very badass
