ok im hookin up a spal power window kit to stock window switchs.the drivers side is workin great and i got started on the pass side today.

well i have 2 pass side switchs and both are doing the samething,they will roll the window down but not up.i can get it to roll up if i switch one of the motor wires to the main ground but then it wont roll it down.now i opend up both switchs and they look ok they had some black crap all over the connectors and i cleaned that off but no help..do you have to have the drivers side switch box hooked into the pass's b4 the pass one will work right or is this just bad luck?

also i cant get any volts coming out of the left over 4 wires for the door locks..

Almost sounds like a wiring issue poss a relay. did you install the harnesses or was everything already in the car? Poss switch but i would need to look at a wiring diagram on sunday when i have time.

i forgot what colors goto the green wire and black wire for the spal kit to the pass. side window from the drivers side.

theres not to much to go wrong with just six wires.i know the power to the switch is right,i know i have the right motor wires so what ever it is its in the harness(doubtfull) or the switch but i dont see how the switch could be bad because there is nothing to it at all.

now when i opend the drivers switch it has a board in it and thats why i was askin if the 2 needed to be hooked up together for the pass switch to work right,kinda like a master and a slave-where the slave cant work without the master..also im not usein any relays and past the switch harness its all my wireing..

ok now i got the pass side switch working,he missed a 2nd ground that has to be hooked up for the switch to work..

BUT now my prob is there is only 3 wires left(2 brown and 1 black)and all go to the door locks,so the only way to have the drivers switch run the pass window is to hook it up to the same wires that pass switch uses to run the motor.i hooked both drivers and pass switchs up to the same wires but the window goes VERY SLOW and draws ALOT of power usein either of the switchs,unhook the drivers side and everything is fine.

so it must be causein a short at the drivers switch(putin power IN where power comes OUT) but how can i fix this?i need something that will let power from the drivers switch thur to the pass switch but not let any power from the pass switch run into the drivers..

im make a new thread now that i know its not the switch.
