Thanks, the best part is i traded my buddy's airhead g/f them for my stockers. Her daddy owns Lucas Oil so he buys her everything so i didnt feel bad. She just got rid of her GSX (2nd one) and her dad bought her an 04 wrx. And now he bought my friend ( her B/F ) an 05' STI. i thinkin of stealing her from him but shes not to cute emoji

i didnt exactly black them out, but i just tinted it for the darker red i was going for. i HATE the stock talon tails compared to mine...its all personal preference though.

this picture is 2 years old...but its a good shot of the tails:

Heh, when we're done with it, it's going to look a lot like your car, turby...

We're painting the stock 16" TSi wheels black with a chrome lip, tint all the way around, and tinted tails. Should look nice.

We're keepin the stock wing tho...

I'll attest to Turby's wheels looking good. I never believe him when he says he spraypainted em and nightshaded the tails, but his bitch always looks good. emoji

Whatever you do, don't use professional body paint on the wheels, it bubbles up and melts. I've been too paranoid to use normal clearcoat because I think I'd melt it too. My wheels actually smoke after a track session, and there's bits of molten pad stuck all over em, so I doubt regular clearcoat would hold up.

Powdercoating's the way to go. It's cheap compared to junking a set of wheels if you aren't an expert painter already.
