hahaha. this is a fun one. yes, you do need an adapter unfortunatley they don't make one for the 2g's so you gotta get an adaptor for a 1g and ghetto rig it. my friend's got a gs-t and has a momo and bought a 1g and it hooked right up but i got an grant evolution wheel and had to flip the adaptor around and some other ish to get it to fit right but it will work. lemme see if i can find some pics of my wheel. ahh...here we go!

Is it illegal to remove the airbag on a car that comes equiped with one? Went to a shop here and they said they would sell one to me but wouldn't install (don't matter I install all my own shit anyway) because they told me it was illegal to remove the airbag. Is that true? I have been wanting to get one but for as much as my ass gets pulled over I can't afford to get a ticket for that shit! Maybe the law varies state to state, I live in FL, I know there are a shit load of people here from FL help me out. Maybe this shop was just bullshitting me (I have had a few words with them in the past about bad work they did, they don't like me anymore). Let's put it this way they hate me as much as the warranty department hates me at Satan. When I pull up at Satan they lock the fuckin doors on my ass cause they know I blew something up!

i believe it is only because it's equipped with bags and if you get in an accident your insurance can probably f@#k you. but i took both my bags out and trust ye ol' seat belt. hey it's good enough. trust me i get pulled over ALL the time and cops don't say $h!t about it. all they say is "the reason i'm citing you for sir is cause you were doing 80 in a 55." but police-wise you should be okay. i would just worry about your insurance. but according to my policy i figure "it's my car i'll do whatever the f@#k i feel to it!" emoji

i have a momo steering wheel that i installed myself and the place that i took it to told me that they cannot remove it cuz of liability...but its not illegal, the only thing is that a shop will not do it, or at least their not supposed to....

If I remember right people said that Sparco hubs fit a lot better than Momo ones.

Why did you put tape over those lights? All you have to do is remove the gauge assembly and pull those light bulbs out. Problem solved!

>alright so i'm at sportscar parts and i'm lookin at a momo

I bought a MOMO Millenium wheel this summer and got the MOMO hub adapter specifically for the 2g from Nopi for about $50. I didn't have any problem with it lining up and the wheel is straight as an arrow.

If you look at the pix of the Grant wheel above, you can see how much of a gap is left after you install an aftermarket wheel. I couldn't stand it so I came up with a pretty kool mod. Go to the hardware store and buy a roll of "roof flashing". If you guys like to work on your own car, you would love this shit. Basically, it's just a roll of really thin sheet metal and it looks just like brushed aluminum. And it can easily be cut with tin snips. So I just removed the upper and lower column cover. Then reassembled them while they were off the column and used the assembly as a pattern for marking the flashing. I then cut the shape out, used a roll of tape as a round pattern for the middle hole that needs to be cut out for the hub to come through and cut it out with the tin snips. You can use a finishing file to clean up the edges. Then use strong double-sided tape or rivets to attach your custom piece to the column cover after you reattach it to the column and before you put the wheel on. Really easy and it looks pretty kool.

I also used the flashing to make a brushed aluminum mitz logo and stuck it on the right side of the dash. You can use this shit for making door sills, radio trim...whatever.
