Here are some pics of my new 6x9 setup on the rear dash that I finished constructing, also pics of my ceramic coated turbo and turbo manifold that I just got back from a ceramic coating company in washington they are 2000 degree rated and they did a great job.

I thought about doing something similar.. but did not feel the hatch cover was of a thick/sturdy enough material to handle the weight and vibrations.

Oh it definietly wasnt,i ripped off the carpet that is on the existing rear dash, i then created a template in a half moon shape that starts right before the humps, then i traced it onto 1/4 thick plywood, cut it out with a jig saw and liquid nailed it to the rear dash cover and removed some of the support bracket from the bottom. Next I cut out the speaker holes for the 6x9's covered it with black carpet.

I'd be affraid of weight. Mine falls out if you fart too loud. And why would you bother putting MORE 6x9's in your car? emoji
