Im in the process of sanding a practice piece of my interior so i can see if i want it either really smooth looking or stock, and on my smooth piece i sanded it with 60/100/150/220/800/1500..it came out REALLY smooth, but it doesnt look smooth. In some parts (edges and a lil piece of the bottom left corner) the stock grain is completely still there and the whole thing is still very scratched up..im gonna put primer/paint/clear on it and hope it fills in the scratch gaps and everything but is there anything i can do to make it not scratchy instead of just putting alot of paint on it?..keep in mind this is the first time i've ever attempted to paint or sand anything lol

You want to use filler primer. You can get in a rattle can if needed.

Yea, and you can probablly cut out the 100 and the 150. There's really no point in using 6 different grits

alright thanks i'll hafta buy some and sand more then i guess lol..should i be sanding rough or very lightly?..and wet or dry?

on plastic just sand lightly and with 600grit until smooth. Then primer.........the primer will hold up more for you during fine sanding 1500 grit process than the plastic will.
