Don't those doors suck if you are in a tight parking spot?

Looks different. I'd prefer just regular lambo doors, as it seems more functional since I won't be hitting the doors when I'm parked in a tight spot.

yes this is actually a customers car. those are integra tail lights in the back of the car that is what she wanted. they will look pretty sweet when they get done. this car is hardly ever driven, as the girl who owns it has a company vehicle to get around in. I would imagine if going to walmart you would have to park in the back and pray no one parks next to you, but actually the actuators we are putting on it will allow her to be able to open the door a lil and still be able to get in or out if the situation occurs. ill get everyone more pics when they are done. this car is slated to be unvieled at Slamsession Supershow in Greenville NC this year.

The body work on the car looks nice except for those honda altezza lights. Of all the rear lights to use the person who owns that car picked the ugliest.

well the blitz front actually came off of my eclipse, her stock front was cracked and we wanted it to be different because we thought the add on pieces on the stock front was just plain ugly. So I cut the sides off my blitz kit and molded in the side pieces of the widebody. Looks pretty good imo. As far as the tail lights go, it was a last second decision from her. I decided on going with Supra tails on my eclipse so she wanted to do a conversion to, she was going to go with RSX tails however it would have called for the stock urethane back end to be cut and all which if it were a fiberglass back bumper we prolly would have went with that. So she went with some tails that would fit in the stock gap. The Integra tails look actually pretty good in person, I dont really like how the curve around at the end of them, but whenever it is finished it will look good, definately different, we should paint the car this weekend, ill post pics when its done.

hey i may be new around here, but ive been doing dsm's for 6 years, anyways, right now they have no support we just held them up in the air with things around the shop to make sure the hinges that we made worked. we are waiting on actuators to come in, those will be supporting the doors.

I'm curious too, I mean, just a prep and paint job is like $2500, so all that cant be cheap...at all :/

EDIT: if these doors work out well, would you be making any more of 'em? emoji

yeah we will be doing more of these doors if we are completely successful with this. However this is a customized thing which there really isnt a universal kit for.

Yeah I think he means that the one on the pass side is connected rather than what most ricers do and just hang a fart can there so it looks like duals but it's not "functional". But as well all know, duals on a 4cyl are gay.

CAI, Header, Exhaust, Ignition.....just make you loud, that's it. I just went back to stock to get rid of the 2gnt and it feels just as "fast" as it did "modded" with more than that stuff.

the dual exhaust on the car are actually two mufflers comming back from the front of the car, true dual exhaust. and by the way not everyone cares about speed, remember this is the interior exterior forum, so if you wanna talk shit about engine and exhaust then i believe there is a forum for you else where thanks.

Why would you do all that shit if you didn't "care about speed"? I think people who do htis stuff, just like me, are miss informed.

But oh yeah, this thread is about ricing. So no, I don't like the doors.

Yeah, the doors are definitely original but horribly unpractical. I can't imagine this car being used for a daily driver and I'm sure it won't be.

Thread revival...

OCpimp4life,

Obviously, everyone's taste in what's hot and what's lame is very different. If we all liked exactly the same thing, then cars would be pretty boring copies of each other. I think you're in good company looking at the pics below.

I can appreciate the effort to do a set of butterfly door and I hope it works out. Good luck and lets see how the finallized project looks when you are done. A friend set me these pics today which reminded me to come back and visit this thread and compliment your work.

Good luck.
