#83523, "making turn signal lights that only go on when signalling (and don't when headlights are on)"
I want to tap into the sidemarkers to make turn signal lights in the rearview mirrors. However, I only want them to be be on when the turn signal is switched on. The problem is that the sidemarker lights turn on when you have the parking lights and headlights on. Now, if I were to tap into that wire, my mirrors would always glow when the headlights are on and I don't want that. So what do I need to do so that I can have an additional light that's only on when the blinkers blink?
Did any of this make sense? I'm not all that good with electrical theory, so bear with my idiot question. I have the rest figured out with searching the internet

simple dude. if you take off the plastic fender well peice youll be able to see your headlight assembly (from the rear) youll notice the turn signal bulb in the corner. there are 2 power wires (green and green w/ stripe i think) i forget the colors, just use a test lights..youll figure it out. but one is only for the blinker, the other is for the parking lights (constant glow). just tap into the blinker wire and run a wire back to your mirrors or whatever. i ended up converting my sidemarkers to blinkers by cutting the constant running to the sidemarkers and splicing into the blinker wire. lmk if you need further clarification...sounds a bit confusing i know
