Pics...

Taken from the side

Taken from inside

I was wondering if its normal to have all those other spots on the right and left side.

Crappy pic while driving

That's about it. Oh, I got the McCullough 8000K kit and ebay halo projectors. Haven't put on the halos yet though. And if itsn't aligned, how do I align it? Its just that silver gear looking thing right? And how do I know if its aligned already? Does that bubble indicator have anything to do with it? I know with the stock housing it does. But I aimed it tonight since the beam was kinda high. Now it sits kinda ok, but the bubble thing is still not in the middle. Should it be in the middle? Thanks for the info.

They look alright I suppose for reflectors. Did you say you are getting projectors for your car? You will have a much cleaner cut off and a more focused light distribution when you get them. Those hot spots are normal with reflectors. Be careful with them, bulbs of that Kelvin, and light distributed unevenly like that may attract negative attention. I think rule is you are suppose to be 20 feet back and the cut off is suppose to be 24" off the ground, I'll look this up for you though for I'm not sure if thats correct. It looks good though, just get those projectors in there soon.

Oh, what I meant was that I haven't wired the halos to turn on yet, cuz I heard they burn up pretty quick. That light pattern is with the projectors already. So yeah, any more help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have pictures of the actual projectors themselves? I would like to see what you have. I know mine shoot hot spots too, but that is because they are chromed, so I am going to bake them open this summer and redo them in a graphite color. I will shoot a photo of my cut-off line tonight so you can take a look and see how mine looks. It's pretty normal for it to be unfocused if you have ebay projectors and a silver housing, which I'm assuming you probably do from the looks of it.

Well here are some pictures of my projectors. In the first picture you see my cutoff line on my garage. Sorry its sorta angle its because of the driveway not alignment. Ok so.. you see my cutoff

Here is my cutoff with my outlines. You can see where my hot spots are these are from the chrome housing, When I redo this in graphite or a dark color the hot spots will be gone because there is not mirror like finish to reflect the lights. I have outlined the stepping of my cutoff. The way it angles rite up and out on the far right is one reason why I love these projectors, It is great how it lights up signs. The cutoff built like this is what you would call an ECE coded projector, mainly used in European countries. DOT is more americanized that is the other projector type, which is just a flat line strait across with no stepping.

This is the source of my glare, when this is painted bye bye glare

that and your projectors are probably designed for regular bulbs that have the light source side to side. HID bubls have an arc that goes from front to back.

This doesnt affect projectors as much as reflector housings, but It still has soemthing to do with it.

My projectors are not designed for HIDs but the cutoff is still clean.. Dude give me a pic of what your projectors look like so I can get a better idea of what we are working with.

Actually I looked at your projectors for a minute and the cutoff looks like its similiar to mine. In fact I am thinking you may have the same style projector. Anyway, I have messed around with your alignment picture so take a look.

As you can see in this picture I have circled your hot spots, paint the housing or deal with it pretty much your only options. It doesnt really bother me but I imagine it pisses off the other drivers. Take a look at your cut-off line and how I outlined how it should be. You see how both sides have a peak coming up then level out? I marked the end of those lines blue. Those two marks need to meet and make one level line. Now the distance your car is at will determine how high the cutoff should be. I suggest staying 15ft away from your garage, and the cutoff should be 2 feet off the ground roughly. Once you do this please take pictures again and turn that light off on your garage so I can see nothing but your lighting. Take a look at my cutoff too in comparison to your. Aim yours to look like mine, because I believe we have the same style projector.

Finally! Thanks for the replies. These are the EXACT projectors that I have:

Bought them from Super20G.

Wow, thank you so much for those outlines. I'll try to look for a really dark place with a white wall and take new pics. Putting those two pictures side by side really helps comparing them. So my other question is, the only way I can adjust these projectors are up and down right? Is there such a thing where I can adjust the beam from left to right? That's it. Thanks again.

No just side to side.. And those are the same exact projectors I have except mine are the chrome housing. Hope you ger around to aligning them soon, I am anxious to see how your cut-off line looks. Though it is going to look line mine pretty much I am just curious.

Note: The angel eyes in our lights are great. You dont have to worry about them burning out, I have only heard bad things about the angel eyes in another projector setup not ours though. Just tap them into the parking lights and your set emoji

By side to side, you mean bringing the light beam up/down or left to right/right to left? I only saw one alignment gear, and it makes the beam go up or down, not side to side. Thanks for the clarification. Will connect the halos ASAP then.
