#83047, "which hood"

I am looking into another CF hood due to a mishap with my Invader hood. I can either go with another Invader replacement, the G/F likes the OEM Cf hood, or choose a different style. For what its worth the invader hood i had could be repaired cheap (minor damage) and painted to match the car if i wanted to go that route.

Wow thanks for the opinion guys.

I lost a bid on ebay for the invader hood. A guy that lives in the same town i do has one for sale with 2 tiny cracks in it. I hate ebay, would have been a good cheap hood for when i go to the track.

Looks like i will repair/paint mine for that purpose and buy an oem CF for my daily cruisin.......thans again.

I ordered the oem this morning. I will paint my invader once all the financial smoke clears from the hail damage and windshield replacement.

when you paint the carbon fiber hood, you should leave a mitsubishi logo left in carbon fiber. btw, do you mean you are gonna paint the OEM vis or just the invader?

I am going to paint the invader. The cracks in the resin are in thwe back rolled edge by the windshield. Right above the shock tower their are a couple cracks. I was going to shoot the hood silve to match the car but leave the actual interior of the scoop in carbon fiber. I will use the body lines of the scoop to follow up the hood. Right in front of the scoop i was going to mask out the mitsu diamond so its still CF when cleared. I kinda second guessed it because if i sell the hood in the future it will be a turn off for a talon owner.

I would paint everything on the invader except the part behind the scoop. Kind of like the first idea but without the Mitsu. sign.

Well, it's 2005...and alot of time has past since F&F in 2001. I personally think invader hood is out, but looks cool as hell but?...I say oem CF hood. But if you were to paint part of your hood leave the mitsubishi logo out. We know it a mitsubishi. It's like people who put a windshield banner on that says ECLIPSE..lol...like no shit! Then it's all what your into. There are many styles of euro tunners out there. We got our sleepers, moded tunners w/ blitz kit..lol <--me, the ghetto rides with pimp air ride, and the ricers who keep APC in business. But it's all good.
