I've got a banged up right fender (from the previous owner) and the rest of the car's got its share of dings and scratches from her as well. I've got the opportunity of getting my car painted pretty cheap (friends) and I may take it up. Instead of having them repair the oem fender, I'm considering putting on some aftermarket fender. Does anyone have some good pics of either z3, m3, f1 fenders...etc installed. Preferably on a silver car, but it doesn't really matter. I'm trying to go for a simple look...almost euro, so I don't want anything too flashy. Thanks for the help guys!

Jason

If you want a clean euro look id say the z3's they are kinda played out but still nice. the f1 and slr fenders are kinda flashy. me personally id go with the f1 fenders just because not to many people have them and they are very flashy which i like.

I've always liked the z3s, but like you said, they're played out. I hate being unoriginal (guess I picked the wrong car, huh...lol). I'm kinda leaning towards the M style fenders. I've seen them on a buddy's Civic, but I was hoping to see them on an Eclipse, cuz proportions would obviously be different. Thanks for the help so far guys.

i have cf z3 fenders, more durable than any metal fender i ever had on my car, puttin them on the black GSX this week. im pretty much all show until i swap my parts to my GSX, so i dunno if u care about looks or not, u could always find a good pair of fiberglass fenders. try importfan.com (GTP International). good luck! emoji

I can't really offer too much advice on which style of fenders you should get but just make sure you go with metal or carbon fiber fenders. I have seen many cars riding around with broken fiberglass fenders. I have metal Z3 fenders on my 2G and i'm happy with them. It's true that they are played out but I was in the same situation you are in. My left fender was smashed up so I got some metal Z3 fenders off of ebay for 150 shipped. Good Luck on your search. And keep in mind that if you decide to buy the F1 or SLR fenders you will need a body kit or carbon fiber hood to go with it because those fenders would look wierd on a car that has a mostly stock body.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't really thought of the fiberglass cracking on the fender, but if you've seen it, it'll happen up here in Maine! I highly doubt I'll go with the F1 or SLR fenders. I'm contemplating either the Z3 or the M style, but I've yet to see an M fender on an Eclipse. Anyone got a pic with M style fenders on an Eclipse?

I got the metal Z3 fenders and the fitment was perfect. the Idea of bolting a fiberglass nosepiece onto a fiberglass fender was scary on a daily driver.

I have Z3's(fiberglass)molded to the side skirts but not the front bumper. My fenders, side skirts, and rear quarter panels are all one peice. Its looks great, especially since we smoothed the front port on the blitz skirt. But i hit a chunk of pavement the other day and ruined my front wich also pushed up into my fender and cracked it.Now im screwed. My suggestion would be go with metal Z3's or stock. ps( i'm replacing my front with drift or stillen, no more blitz)
