I checked the links/and ebay seller I found in seach but they were all dead ends. So like the title says I'd like to get one done or a place to buy one already done.

just email them, they will make it for ya. everything they list on the site, if they dont sell it rapidly, the 'discontinue' it but truly they dont. i know it sounds weird but if you email them asking to have one made, im sure they either have one layign around somewhere or can swap one up for ya in no time. check ebay alot though, alot of times, carbonwerks sell their caps on their that have small blemishes in the UV clear coat, but thats an easy fix. wet sand, and re-clear! good luck.

yea i checked them first and have an email out to them and their vendor
http://www.stemarmotorsports.com/MitsuCarbonfiber.html. They have a pic up of one but no link to click and buy like the other stuff they sell. I will probably wind up making a green cf one myself for alot less and only have to wait for curing time lol. But I'll wait and see what I hear back from them.

lol cool, I ordered 2sq yards of green yesterday. I figured I'd buy it anyways for some interior pieces (console, armrest, sunroof switch holder ect ect) I want to do when I get some spares to tweak for my needs and make molds with. And depending what side of them your on I'm about 2 hours away from them according to mapquest. And also if your going to be making shit soon I'll send you the raw green and tint when I get it to mess around with and throw you some extra for the expoxy and shit

You know, all you need is 2 sheets of 6" x 6" CF, a small can of Urethane resin and hardner, some sand paper, a brush, and some automotive clear coat. Since there's no forming and all you have to do is make sure the pattern is straight on the shape it would take you all of about an hour to do this yourself.

whats the automotive clear coat for? All you really need is the gel coat.

I was being lazy and trying to buy my way out of doing something right away, I ordered 2 sq yards though so I can mess around with some other stuff also for the interior. I figure I'll do it when the shit comes in now. I know it isn't hard, but I figured once I did that I would want to do the rest. And I really didn't want people to come and look at the house forsale and seeing a carbon fiber mass production plant in my basement, but there could be worse things to see in a basement I guess. And frank I think the clear coat provides a much better protection than just leaving the gelcoat btw.

If the gelcoat is done right its gonna be pretty damn thick...The only advantage i really see by having the auto clear coat on there would be for some UV Protection, but i, personally, think thats a load of shit. I am pretty positive you can also wax a gel coat as well. Double check that last tid bit though.

like you said though uv protectant, I need to tint the urethane to match the hood shade of green and have never tinted gel coat before. But hey both ways will do the job imo it just depends. But I think going with the urethane is much easier for the interior pieces.

I'd rather see claw cover his stock fuel door in carbon fiber than have it painted fucking white like it is now emoji:

CF may be rice but it's less rice than a white fuel door on a green car.

You said you were just going to put it on your stock fuel door, you may not anymore, but you said you were going to. And a green carbon fiber hood? I don't care if it's real, all I can do is laugh.

you have no point, show me where I said anything about overlaying cf on my gas lid. If Im not mistaken your talking about someone else explaining "their" way of doing it . And lol to me on a green cf hoof? why because I didn't jump on the bandwagon and do the same black vis hood like everyone else does. Like I said before get out of my thread your serving no purpose here but to bring your pit drama. So unless you can offer a new place for me to buy a cf fuel door.... ummmmmmm buh bye

Yeah, uh, they make red threaded CF hoods, blue threaded CF hoods, so why can't Claw get a green one made? I personally think any bare CF is fucking rice-a-roni. Paint it stock and make it stealth is what I'd do.

let him make his fuel door. personally, I think it'll look fine when it's finished. be careful workin with CF though, if you've ever worked with fiberglass before you might think you know what to expect - but CF bonds and hardens in about 1/3rd the time so you have to be super-careful layin it down. let me know how the CF interior bits go, I was thinking of laying down some CF on my next trunk install and for some door inserts.

There you go, my point has been proven. And if you can't see that, you're fucking blind.

exactly what role do you think I played in that thread? I even searched and looked for a pic along the lines he wanted and hosted it for him to see it, I also gave him points tardo because he handled himself well in his thread and didn't try and get all e-hardass during his hazing. WTF is your point again? as I must be blind. I do know your still grasping at nothing, so bugger-off. As I see you haven't brought a link with any new info.

What role? You gave one picture, the rest you just said "lol", "lol x2", and got in some stupid ass converstation/arguement with the widebody guy. This was just not for you, but everyone else that likes to give their opinion on what they don't like if not asked for.

No, that wasn't my point, like I said, I don't care what is put on your car, but people don't like it when they throw their worthless point of views at people that are not asking for it.

I would love to help out with the whole carbon fiber stuff, but there is nothing that you haven't found already. And besides, I think I helped you out enough with that right thur emoji

what about the thickness of it after your done laying the CF, harder, gelcoat, and clear.

By thickness I mean you'll have a gas door that is sticking out say....1/8" or something. So if you stood at the front and looked down the side it would BULGE OUT.

Ad 1 square foot of fiber mat to that list and a can of spray lube and you can just make a mold and do the CF in the mold. CF isn't very thick guys. It's about as thick as a bed sheet.

blizare, im making the lid out of a mold of my original so it won't bulge out even a little bit . And like miller said it is very thin so you could actually recess the door a 1/16th and compensate and would really be tons easier than putting the clip latch on and lapping enough for the hing bolts to get bite. But like I said Im making one from a mold of it so its "real".
