hey guys, i have my gst doors for my rs and i dont even know where to begin in order to do the manual to power swap...should i take the gst stuff and put it on my doors and just use the gst door skins? is that even possible...im so lost, lol..please help guys, i need ya.....

Do you have all the guts to go into the door, like the motor and stuf? You just can't put the door trim with the controls on there. You need the motor and the window track that I know of. Not sure what else. You got a service manuall or Chiltons? They have the diagrams in them labeled with what you would need.
But if you do have all that then its just simply installing the motor and track, put the door panel on, and plug the wiring harness in. Everything, as far as wiring goes, is allready there. Just get the right components.

Dude good luck with the conversion. You got more guts than me, I just got the power window and lock kits installed. Acually I made the dealership pay for it when I bought the car.

Me and my brother installed a power windows on my car (RS)..THe kit was a professional one (not autoloc, something more expensive) The stock tracks are pretty wimpy looking but these ones are real sturdy. All we did (well he did - works at circuit city) was take out the tracks and bolt the new ones in. THe hardest part was aligning the window. Then the electrical was easy and the little pods that came with it covered up the hole

relax mang, you got the shit u need to start, its just how ya wanna do it. take apart the gst door, and put the parts in your rs door, or swap the whole thing.
i would think changing out the parts would be easier, but thats your decision.

Thats cool man. Just let me know if you want to get rid of them. That way I got an excuse to go to Vegas. I aint never been there. I had a friend that lived down there for few years though.
