Im in the market for a black carpet. From what Ive been able to tell, there are 3 main options:

- 1aautomotive.com
- stockinteriors.com
- carpets4cars.com

Im looking for anybodys opinions who have carpets from these companies in terms of fit, quality, durability, etc.

I don't know anything about those companies but when I was looking for a replacement carpet, something I didn't get because of a change in interest. The major differences I found were; Some are precut, while others require trimming. Some are molded to the shape of the floor, others just seemed to lay like the stuff in my living room. The biggest difference I found was the types of material they were made of.

Hope that helps, good luck man, make sure you get some pics up when you are done.

Definatly go ACCMats.com. They are great people, easy to work with, and have a great product. It is currently the black carpet I am running in the Eclipse.

How much trimming did it require? Is it minor? James, do you have any daytime pictures of your carpet? How much does the carpet cost shipped? I don't see any prices on the site.

I would say that you can cut up to 1-2 inches in some areas. I think that is good, and allows some margin for error.

If I remember correctly, I bought my carpet set, with the trunk piece included shipped for about $165.

I just finished Dying mine black.

Took $15 in Black dye and a big f-in barrel to squish the carpet in and let the dye soak in.

WORKED WONDERS!!! for my old grey stained carpet. Now you can see a thing!

thats odd.. i replied to this post again but my post is not here..

Anyway, For mine.. the entire center (center column) had to be cut out and a lot of trimming had to be done around the edges of it. You also will have to make holes for seat bolts etc. Mine on ebay was $110 shipped I believe.

Im going to take pictures in about 2 hours of the car.
