#80254, "quick rim question?"

OK well guy came today at work thru the drive thru with a 3g and had the 3 bar 5 spoke 17's and i thought they'd look sweet on a 2g. I think one guy around here had them on (had a red car fast ass n/t) cant't think of his name though. Anyway between that style and the 99' gsx 10 spoke 17's which one is lighter weight and is there a difference in width? Will i have any clearance issues with a pro-kit drop? TIA

I'd say split 5 spoke, but that's just me emoji

Konig made a split 6 spoke that was only about 15-16 lbs Toxxin. I was going to get those, but the center of the hubs would show.

Those stockers are heavy as shit. Hell, my OEM 14" Enkies were almost too heavy for my pansy ass to lug around for long. emoji

you are talking about the 3rd gen's stock rims? eww. if you want an aftermarket version of the same (3-split 5 spokes), look into ADR Demonya (sp maybe on the name), but they are a gross looking rim if you ask me. cougar64u (I think that's his name) has a pic of his 2nd gen on the 3rd gen Eclipse rims in his sig.

Here are the pics:

I think the rims came off a '00 or '01 GTS. They're not the regular rims. The outside edge is milled aluminum, while inside the spokes are that darker silver paint, and the whole thing is clear coated.

I think it was off the special edition model (GTS).

Hmm, then he should go with some Enkies like I used to have. Those thinks were fairly light and didn't bend for anything.

I don't mind the center of the hubs showing with my Toxxins. I just painted them to match my car. emoji

I love the way this guy did his 3G wheels. You have to see them in person to fully appreciate them, but he spent a weekend painting them and they certainly stand out imo.
