thanx man, Im looking at this kit...

http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=SVPRO7

Now.. will the doors pop open or just release the handle? Im unsure if the doors will pop open on the eclipse because they are so heavy.

i'm running a 50lb autoloc kit similar to that 75 you are looking at. it releases the latch and the door opens to where you can get a few fingers in and open it up. go with an autoloc kit for sure though, they are the best and the only kit i will install on a customers car.

I agree, I'm getting ready to buy an autoloc kit as well. I have shaved door handles and have an Audiovox popper kit now and it sucks ass! emoji I guess the 50lb kit will do justice?? I will have to do more research, because my car is not a daily driver so maybe I will not need that much force. I guess if anyone has any opinions on this then let me know as well. thanks
~John.

James, here is the problem I have with shaved handles. Sure it looks sick as hell, but most tracks won't let you run with them. I guess their afraid that if you wreck the doors can't be opened to save you. I'm still not sure if I want to go that route or not, I enjoy running at the tracks as well as I like to show so I dunno. emoji

Oh, you don't like altezza's? Too bad, your gonna get a good look at mine.

Ok, i don't know about the eclipses....but not all cars doors will 'pop' open with just a silanoid(sp but you know what i'm talking about). But since Optikal says his does then yours have a good chance. If you install the kit and with just silanoid your doors don't open enough then they have actual popers that are spring loaded things that will actually push the door open when the door unlatches.

My toyoya didn't require them but that was because they had suicide doors on it. My friends s10 needs them, my friends old civic needed them, and my friends mazda millenia doesn't always pop open. just fyi

I don't think Cordova does. Some of the tracks up by Chicago might. Since more ricers show up to those it's probably more acceptable and expected.

A bit sensitive are we?

Let me rephrase that since I forgot 2GNT = butthurtville. Since many import owners are only interested in body mods then tracks that have a large import turn out will probably be more leniant with the rules.

James, shouldn't have to worry about the battery dying and not being able to get into the car because there is always a way in as long as you have a rear keyhole you can get in through the hatch if worst came to worst. I've had to do that before lol.
