LAST EDITED ON 08-Nov-01 AT 05:39 PM (PST)

Hey guys! - Keep reading there's something in it for you - I promise!

This is my eclipse as is NOW:

Very Stock huh.....

So I bought this front bumper...(new and unpainted)

And this back bumper (the *actual* one from this photo)

So..... My problem.. I am keeping my car green (waaaaay too much moola to change it's color) and I am adding to it the front and back bumper pictured above.

>>
>> I need help with choosing side skirts and a nice wing.
>>

Please offer suggestions, the winning person/people will get a brand NEW, BOXED Sho-Stopper Hotwheels Eclipse. My Promise! (Shipped in the US to your house!)

Then you can paint it and have fun with it! Nice?

Well let the suggestions flow. I don't really want big side skirts with pointless air scoops. Remember it's unecessary air resistance. Well if it looks good.... emoji

Also what dya think of stock side skirts with or without door caps.. Clean look? I would prefer a clean look.

With choosing a wing.. all suggestions are open.

Please post pics too! Thanks!

I like the stock side skirts if you want a clean look. Some of the after market ones are crazy looking.

I say if you want some simple sides that arent to crazy go with the Blitz type 1's. As for wings I am not a big fan of the big combat style one. Check out the wing on the car with the rudora kit that eclipse804 posted.

I may be biased but I say go for Blitz Type 2 side skirts, like I have on my car. They are really simple, and just have a scoop in the back. They look great without door caps too, and are easy to install. Type 1's require molding or otherwise you will have that horizontal line across the rear quarter panel where the side skirt ends. Go for the Type 2's!

Get the Battle Z skirts. . .

Or the Strada F1 . . .

Or the VIS Type SK . . .

As far as a wing goes you should get one that is functional (since your car can go 170+) as well as looks good which is hard IMO because most wings are just TOO much for my taste. (example. . .)

I would just go with the stock turbo spoiler if anything.

All those VIS pictures are of the blitz type 2 side skirts. VIS just shows it with a bunch of their kits since those front bumpers don't have specific sides for them...

I think since you are planning to put a new front bumper side skirts - rear bumper - and wing, you should repaint the whole car because you will be able to tell the different shades. I know this from experience.. I had my front half of the car painted with paint from satan and I could tell a difference when looking at it on an angle.... So this time I gettng the whole car painted. Should be ready in a week or two. just finishing up some fiberglass work and then i'm going to prep it and get it the shop to shoot it.... can't wait....

Wow! This is taking better than I expected...

Some replies/updates:

DAVE_FL & EvuLFleA: - I do like the Stock with no caps look. It is definitely looking like an option

Fast420A : I have to agree, the wing has to somehow *help* - I would hate to add a wing that would slow me down!

I was thinking an APR wing, because they are the most adjustable, so I could somewhow (I have no real idea - trial and error?) help "tune" the wing.

Say you know what wing is used in the Strada F1 photo?

Ryan_RS: Yeah, I met Ankur at Hot Import Nights. Crazy how fast he switched cars..!

eclipse804: Sure you're biased, but obviously you liked those side skirts if you put them on! Do you think I need door caps? I can't tell if your car has side skirts on it or not.. I like them

klipzracer: A wing like yours is looking more and more interesting. I probably will get one as long as it is light.

vegastoy: That talon featured on boostabuse is LoTalon's!!!!!! Holy sh!t has it changed fast. I recognized the interior. and then I saw the license plate!

grod101: I am getting it repainted - but in the same color, I meant that it's a pain to paint it a whole *new* color properly without stripping it down to zero and starting again!

Michael_97RS: What do those look like?

Hey, a good body shop WILL match your color so don't worry about the color not matching as long as they are good. Here are a couple pictures of my side skirts...they are the blitz type 2 which VIS calls the battle Z type 2.

Sorry the pics are not very clear and the car was very dirty.
Remember, I was the first to tell you blitz type 2's hehe...let me know what you go with...

Well, since y'all my buddies, y'all win. emoji Think I'm kiddin'?

Everyone who posted a reply before *this* post will get one (as long as you in da US) and as long as I get your address by Tuesday night (I wanna get them all out on Wednesday Nov 14th morning). Send your address to dsmguy@hotmail.com

I think I'll go with eclipse804's suggestion for the Blitz Type 2's (Say, eclipse804 got a hookup/discount for where I could get these fast and good priced?). Now I need to find some door caps...

As for a wing.. It looks like APR it will be, however, I can't decide on which model yet.

Thanks guys

You really dont need side skirts with those. Look at Roland Salvadors car VxRoxV if anyone has a pic....... A few others have them without aps but I cant think beacuse its too early.

Doh oh well here's my suggestion anyway, I'm not much the show person but I'll let you hear what I think.

I think that front bumper looks alright it looks like a bigger mouth 95/96 bumper. The rear bumper looks good too, make sure you get a fat exhuast tip to accompany that hehe, you got all that room for the tip. I think stock side skirts and door caps would go nice with that, and my opinion a GTR wing would go nice with it.
