Alright, here's the deal. My passenger window won't roll down by using the button on the passenger side OR on the drivers side. But the door lock button works on both sides. WTF? Where should I start?

id pull the switches out and inspect to see if on of the wires came loose. also ckeck all your fuses. must be a short in the switch. oh yeah make sure that the wires hooked to the window motor are all connected, since your driver switches dont roll it down, you'll have to take the door apart and use a flashlight to see up in there. hope that helps good luck

if it worked one day and then just suddenly stopped working, the contacts on your switches might just be dusty so they won't work anymore. but since both driver's and passenger's side switches don't work, check all your connections, what widebody said. if they all seem good, the motor might be burnt out, but they are cheap to find new ones and replace them yourself.

Mine won't roll down either. I think the motor went out on mine. We took the door panal off, and tested the wires, they seemed fine, but there is no motor noise when the button is pressed.

I think I'm going to go try to find one that I can replace it with... I don't want to pay alot for a new one. I haven't been able to roll it down since i got the car.

Yeah, it was like it when I bought the car. I took both door panels off and checked the wires, which are fine, and cleaned each box and still nothing.

So is it pretty much a given that it's the motor? Where is it located? Cause when I took off the door panels I don't remember seeing anything that would resemble a motor. Is it possible that a wire came disconnected to the motor?

Damn, I don't want to spend $300 on a friggin window motor.

If it's your motor and you decide to go to satan for a new one. You'll have to buy the entire scissor fitting that has the motor on it. They don't sell just the motors (probably so they can jack up the price). I have a friend who's got a body shop and I got it at his cost, $100.

I had my drivers motor die on me this last spring. The window would just start to move and then stop, if I helped it by pushing or pulling on it, it worked fine. Once the window stopped moving to where I needed to help it, there was no motor noise, so it may be that your motor went bad.
