Hey guys I have a question, I've searched and had no luck. I'm planning on painting my taillights with the nite-shades transparent paint. I was wondering is it street legal. For the guys that have done it, have they run into any problems with the law. I was just wondering cause I'd like to stay legal. I also live in Oregon just incase the law is different here. Any help or info would be highly appreciated thanks.

i have purchased vht nite shades and it is highly illegal but no problem with the law. it is a special order item. buy it from murrays discount auto stores it is an 8 oz can and is $6.50 a can get only one for two tails. be very careful not to use it on some plastics it work right and spray in your basement were it is hot not cold or you will ruin the lights AIM me at SE BRZ 1 if you have questions.

Thanks for the input. How will it ruin them in the cold? Also how transparent is the paint? If you were to turn on your lights on or step on the brake pedal how well can you see the light go through?

I've got 4 coats on my tails and no problems with the law or with visibility. Put the can in a bowl of warm water for a couple minutes and shake the hell out of it to avoid splotches, it's a little more tempermental than regular spray paint.
