I bought a 99 eclipse front bumper for my 95 Talon, its not here yet but I understand the 95 headlights will be overlapped by the 99 front bumper. I was wondering how bad is it? Can the bumper be shaved a little to make it fit or is it to bad? Just wonderin, itll be a couple months b4 I wanna spend money on the new headlights.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

the 95 lights will overlap the bumper, so you can cut the bumper, but the bumper is urethane so if you mess up . . .
i have a pic with the 95 lights on 97 bumper, email me and i;ll try to find it

97 are more recessed than the 95-96 lights. Cutting urethane is hard, and it melts if you use a high speed cutter. I cut one in half and it was really hard to cut straight.

I think your talking about putting the 99 bumper on your car while keeping your 95 lights right?? If so I have seen an eclipse on campus with a set up like that and it really isnt that bad. The space for the 97+ headlights is bigger than the 95 headlights so there is a slight gap on the inner part of both headlights that is like half in inch in width.

Are you sure? I had always thought the 97-99 headlights were smaller, so I was thinkin my 95s wouldnt fit with a 97-99 bumper. Are you sure the 97-99 headlights are bigger?

Ok so let me make sure one more time. my 95 headlights will work completely with a 97-99 bumper? At the worst there will be a gap leftover, but definately enough room? if you look at the headlights, it looks like the 97-99s end sooner on the inside than the 95 headlights. im just making sure. id rather have a gap than have to buy new headlights. thanks yo

there will be no gap, your 95 headlight (towards the inside of the car) will be behind the center part of the bumper.
You may have to trim a little to get it 2 fit perfectly...

The bumper will over lap the headlight a little..

hope this helps?!?

I think this is what the overlap will look like. It's a 95 GSX with a body kit.

Here are more pics of the car:
