I Thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas before I take my light apart again.

The other night I was driving and hit a lake in the middle of a parking lot and slashed water all up in the enginebay. Now I have a whole lot of humidity in my drivers side headlight. Anybody know of a way to get it out without taking apart the light?

put the car in the sunlight and take a bulb out the back. that way alot can evaporate through the hole. doesnt mean it wont happen again tho.

it should work with a hairdryer as well but this is an easy way with them still on the car. You could also use a hairdryer if theyre still on the car. In the oven, since they're in there you might as well re-seal them.

All of the above and if that doesnt work you could use rubbing alcohol it will absorb the water. If that doesnt work, you could take out two bulbs and force compressed air in one of the holes.

Since they leak already, drill a couple tiny holes in the water so the water can drain out all the time.

or just dont be lazy and pull the fuckers and put a bead of silicone oround them.

I did that when i first pulled them apart the paint and they've NEVER fogged.

put the unit in the oven will work. I saw a guy to put the BMW E36 headlight unit into an oven. seems like it will work
but, you need to control the temperature very well....... like very low and give you a warm feeling only.... not heating it !

I had my headlight in the oven before to take out that amber shit. I'm just a lazy fuck. I'm gonna break out my wife's hairdryer. If that doesn't work, I'll cook those bitches again.

Just leave one of the caps off that allow you to access the bulbs. They wont fog/condense again. It doesn't hurt anything either.

my buddy nick used to have a 2003 Civic DX and he had the same prob with his Projector headlights....

we stopped the fogging by simply drilling a small 1/8 hole in the rear of the headlight fixture
