first off, how much you looking to pay for the hid conversion?

ebay has tons of sales at different prices at different kelvin ratings.

i'll be picking up a set for bike eventually for about 275-300 bucks.

so ask around and check around for the best deals on the best products.

9006 fits in the stock 2G housings. I have owned and used three different sets of HID's and I will strongly recommend the McCulloch from this guy in LA area.

Very fair prices and service. The McCulloch also have generous wire harness length for flexibility during install. I have the 6000K bulb color.

Here's the ballast installed on the frame rail.

Here's the starter tucked behind the headlamp housing.

The only kit that failed me was a no-name kit from Global Premier and they don't sell them anymore. The McCulloch is far better quality of the three I have used. The McCulloch also has a protection circuit in case you get stupid and turn you lights on and off rapidy which is not good to do with HID ballasts. I still have all the original bulbs in use after several years. Mine see a lot of use since they are wired as daytime running lights.
