#78019, "Custom fiberglassed box question"

Basically my winter project is upgrading my sound system. Im looking for a box similiar to the one "aggresion" has. My question is, is I make a mold of my trunk from the rear to the rear seats and fiberglass from there, will i be able to fit the box in since it will follow the contours of the trunk ? the way I see it is that the box wont go in since there is less clearance on the top. Does anyone have any pics of there box inside and outside there car also.

Thanks

Do it in 2 pieces and finish the glass where the seam is when it's installed.Just my opinion of course.

dude that will be awesome. I didnt wanna ask you personally cause I didnt want you to think im copying. The only thing that will be the same would be a baseboard perfectly fitting and the shape of the rear subs. Im running 2 subs and 3 amps and caps so it will definatly be altered. I just want to make sure I could get it in. THANKS !!!!

Here is link to the write up I did. I did it really quick because I really don't have that much time on my hands but I said I would do it for you. Just wish I had more time to do a more elaborate write up. I will try and make it better if I get more time. If you have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to ask. I am more then happy to help.

Template??? The template is whatever you want it to be. If you want a tight fit then yes just get some cardboard and put it in the trunk and start cutting it to fit. The template is the shape of the enclosure you want...there isn't any specific template. I hope that makes sense.

Ya the subs sound great. They are perfect what I wanted I believe. They are not crazy loud like the kicker solo's but they are a nice beat and just loud enough to where you can still hear the turbo spooling, hehe emoji. Ya I have some pics of the buildup of the quarter panels I made and a couple pics of the enclosure but I will have to find them on the computer somewhere. I will look tonight when I get home from work.

Would anyone be intrested in buying a set of those quarter panels to hold speakers or that steering column gauge pod I made?

Mike

The host of our site transfered us to a new secure server with the Freesb Linux upgrade due to our site getting hacked.

I will put it back up today after work.
