#77417, "SPAL Kit Question"

for those that have done it. I want to add power locks and windows to my RS. my question is if I use the SPAL kits, do I also need to buy the switch kits if I plan on hooking up to stock switches on power door skins?

I would think that you could still use the stock switchs, you just need to wire it into the harness.

yes, the SPAL kit will hook up stock window switches if you got the buttons and skins. i know a few people have done this, so youll have to hit them up for the wiring schematics on how to attatch to the spal kit. otherwise just get a nice set that are designed to work with the SPAL kit.

1-10...probably a 4. the wiring isnt really that big of an issue, and all you need is some creative work to get the motor and sprocket secured. id say the hardest/most time comsuming part of my install was getting the damn wires run through the rubber boot going from the doors to the rest of the body. a coathanger is your friend on that one

Can you please post which wires on the door switches activate it? I'm doing the same thing too with my GST skins and an aftermarket kit. There are only 4-wires on my aftermarket power window kit. Thanks
