you guys........pretty much every body panel for our car is already available in cf. where have you been all this time.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Yea.. He has an awesome job for his age and is luckily able to freely spend his money on stuff he enjoys not having to worry about other big expedatures. I think he is in Aruba rite now for work. He had talked about it couple weeks ago with me, or I'm assuming he would have already found this post if he was not away.

LOL, maybe through ViS themselves. I already got prices on them. I will be selling them at $399 + $125 shipping. As soon as they arrive at ViS, I'll do a group buy to drop the price even more. The retail is set at $549 + $150 shipping.

Do you think it would be safe? No worries about the heavy glass on carbon fiber/fiberglass?

I'm thinkin they will have done these up just like they do hoods, so it will still have a full infrastructure underneath it... it could probably still hold glass. I would be afraid of pounding my system on a CF hatch w/full weight glass. And Lexan windows don't like adverse weather, I hear, and are bloody expensive (not to mention not street legal).

I would not put the rear glass into a cf hatch. Definitely go with lexan. Does anyone know if the rear hatch is part of the structural integrity of the car? I used to think rear quarter panels aren't really structurally significant, but found out recently that they are. In fact, toyota has recommendations on what to do when welding in a new rear quarter panel to maintain that structural balance (you don't want it too strong or too weak). I'd be a little worried about this mod, especially if you carry rear passengers.

i dont see how the hatch could possibly affect the structure of the car in many ways. The hatch is held down by a small latch, hardly enough to reinforce the car in a crash. Im quite sure the hatch will have a full skeleton structure underneath the carbon fiber itself, its just too large of a piece not to have this, not to mention its lifted and lowered every day by the owner.

The rear quarters are structural because they are part of the unibody. The hatch, however, is not. It is no more structural then the hood or the fenders.
