I got word today that the damage caused by my battery exploding will be repaired by my insurance company under a comprehensive claim. Sucks I had to go that route, but I have a lot of damage here.
They agreed to pay me back for parts I had to replace when this all happened, i.e. battery, alternator, belts, hoses, antifreeze, they are covering the damage done to the paint, and I even have a $1,000 aftermarket parts replacement clause in my policy, soooooo, I get a new BOV, new Upper and Lower IC piping, manual boost controller, and a new J pipe.
On top of this, out of my pocket, I am purchasing a new front bumper, since mine is shitty, getting the dent taken out of passenger side front fender, and painting my middle tail piece to match the car.
All in all the damage was roughly $4,400. Insurance is covering all of that minus my $250 deductible (but that is working out in the wash), and my costs will be approx $500 out of pocket.
Check got dropped in the mail for roughly $3400 to begin the process and hopefully by the end of next week I can have the ball rolling on fixing this mother. ___________________________________
