my buddy has that hood and he doesn't have any problems out of it when it rains. on my XGT hood it has the 2 vents and i've never had any problems either, then again i barely drove it in the rain so yea.

i wonder if it's bad if you're turbo'd and it's pouring and you're stuck at a stop light or in traffic. or rather you were boosting a lot and then hit traffic. you'd have rainwater pouring on your glowing turbo.

YuP... cause the vent is closer to the top of the radiator rather then over the exhaust mani... I havnt driven in the rain with it either but same thing when you wash your car ya know

Ive only had my VIS Extreme GT hood for only a week or so but I was told I cant drive in the rain, I was washing my car for the first time with the hood on and water poured all over the filter going to the turbo and the downpipe....I dont think that is good...I think I might need another hood...

do this, come winter and all, put your stock hood on. luckily in ga, no salt trucks or anything like that for me to worry about. but then again, i'm in tx now and hardly drive my car

your engine is basically water proof, i built a custom airbox out of sheet metal(real cheap and real easy to make, two pieces of sheet metal and some pop rivets), do that and put the hood on! I can get you dimensions and pics if you want (brdybrns@aol.com)
