#76692, "Black interior- what should i do with it?"

Today i stopped by a junk yard today and see many eclipses, and one had a complete, perfect black interior. For the door panels, center console, and headliner, what do you think would be a good price to pay? Also i am thinking to maybe get the rear interior parts also. No leather seats in it, but just interior panels is what im interested in.

i paid $250 for my black interior...i got gipped out of the dash cuz the fucker stopped taking my calls and i didn't want to go into his car without him there.

If you can pick it up for like $300...i'd say that's not too bad emoji

I'd say paint the shit you already got. You'll spend $50 instead of $300 for the same effect... it might be worth it to pick up the pieces you can't really paint that well, like all the vents, and stuff that will see a lot of wear and tear and might get scratched, like the kickpanels and window cranks.

Yes I remember that fusion issue. I agree if you can buy the panel the color you want it instead of painting it, I will tell you its A LOT less headache in the long run. Yah you may only spend 50 bucks to paint it this time, but then you will be having to buy more paint for touch ups or to completely redo it again because its all scratched up.

I know from experience, I spent over 400 bucks on painting my interior with spray can paint, spray can clear, different grit sand papers, cleaning acentone to get them to look just right. And guess what they will still scratch and fade, and will need redone. That is why I said F it and saved up to fiberglass my whole interior and paint it with car paint and car clear.

So think about what you want out of in in the long run. I understand not everyone has the money to do what they want now, but its worth it in this case to save up and do it right the first time.

I have seen so many interiors at some of the big car shows with spray paint interiors and they are all scratched up looking like straight ass and I think to myself, I would be ashamed to drive that peice.

Anyway do what you want, but just do your research on how to prep the panels and do light coats if you do decide to go that route.

Good luck man!
